AVATAR V. AVATAR
I hate it when I'm talking to one of my friends about Avatar: The Last Airbender, the show, but then they think I'm talking about Avatar the James Cameron film.
First of all, the only thing that is the same about the two is the color blue. That's it. The characters in the movie are blue, and Aang, in the show has a blue arrow on his head, arms, and legs. I really do hate it when the person that I'm talking to thinks that I'm talking about the other Avatar.
The perosn that I'm talking to gets confused when I say, "Do you watch Avatar?" They usualy reply as, "Yeah, and it was a good movie." Then I reply back, "Wait a second, Avatar is not a movie yet. It's being released in summer 2010." Then they get confused, and I get confused. Then I immediatley realize that they're talking about the movie. I then change the wording of my converstaion starter. I say, "Have you seen the show Avatar?" Now they know what I'm talking about and we're on the same page.
I did see the movie though. It was really good. James Cameron did a really good job with this movie, but on the other hand the show was better. Grey Delisle, Jack DeSens, Zachary Tyler, Mae Whitman, Jessie Flower, Mako/Greg Baldwin, Dee Bradley Baker, and Dante Basco all did amazing jobs in the show. They play Azula, Sokka, Aang, Katara, Toph, Iroh, Appa/Momo, and Zuko respectivly. Don't get me wrong, for three years the show did move up in popularity.
When I first heard of the movie Avatar, I thought that the show was being released early. But I knew that was not right. I then found out that it was its own movie. I saw in IMAX 3D, and thought that it was really good. I liked all of the computer generated images. But its cast, was good too. I'm not going to display the names because most of the people that will read this in the future will just look it up anyway, just to prove me wrong.
I liked both the show and the movie. In my opinion the show was better. Now I just have to wait for the movie version of the show, The Last Airbender, to be released. It is being directed by M. Night Shamylan. Knowing what he has done before, I hope that this movie will be good. I have my fingers crossed.

Your passion for Avatar(both) is inspiring. It borders on a mental disorder. You do bring up good points though, and the voice actors were great.
